the real boat:
Built as the futuristic concept Two Wing T-4 Budweiser
Hydroplane. The boat was tested, Chip Hanauer at the wheel, and entered
in only one race at Madison, Indiana, Mark Evans as the driver. The
boat made an impressive debut being the fastest at a qualifying speed
of 160.795 mph. Mark won every heat entered and completed.Then the boat
was withdrawn for further development.U-8
Racing Team purchased the boat which is now undergoing major design
changes. It is expected to definitely add excitement and close competition
to the 2003 Hydro-Prop racing series(From
the U-8 site)
