Format

Three rounds of preliminary heats for modern and vintage

First and second connies for modern and vintage (depending on number of boats)

Winner-take-all championship finals for modern and vintage

Graupner K45 props required for vintage class boats

2010 Event Schedule:

7-8 a.m. – Race course and pit area set up

8 a.m. – Regisration open (remains open until all boats are registered)

8-9 a.m. – Open water for testing (no laps to be timed)

9-10:30 a.m. – Qualifying session

10:30-11 a.m. – Officials compute qualifying times & assign heats

10:30-11 a.m. – Open water for testing (no laps to be timed)

11-11:10 a.m. – Mandatory drivers meeting at official tower

11-10 a.m. – “Five to the One” for modern heat 1A

11:15 a.m. – Modern heat 1A

Approximately 4 p.m. – Modern class winner-take-all final heat

Approximately 4:15 p.m. – Vintage class winner-take-all final heat

Approximately 4:30 p.m. – Straightaway Speed Challenge presented by Merrick Lentz Architect

Approximately 5 p.m. – Trophy presentation

(Trophy presentation to be followed immediately by club equipment cleanup and pits breakdown).
