Notes about the Model: A new hull for 2004 from the Campbell mold. This is a real steady running boat. The U-64 saw limited action in 2006 but did win the Apple Cup in Chelan with Ron Hartley at the helm. Through the years, this hull has been a great "first boat" for many different members. Those who've driven it before Mick include Steve Twardus, Gary Hansen, Henry Marvin and Ron Hartley.

Notes about the real boat: The U-64 was a 1976 Les Staudacher creation, powered by a turbocharged Allison engine and raced as MISS VERNORS. The boat posted three second-place finishes in 1978 at Detroit, Madison, and San Diego.

Notes about 2007: Mick split his racing time this year between RCU and ERCU, running in a total of six races with the Miss Vernors. Mick earned a spot in his first final at the ERCU Gold Cup and finished the year 19th in the Red Dot Championship Series with 3,801 points.
