Notes about the model: A new hull for 2006 from the Campbell brothers. It is the sister ship to the 1972 Notre Dame. The Jones Pickle fork design is very popular in this class. It is a fast, stable boat that is very competitive. Like the Notre Dame, the Miss Cott Beverages paint and finish work is outstanding, a trademark of Jeff and Mike Campbell.

In 2006, the Miss Cott Beverages was fast from the outset. Disappointing final heat finishes seem to be the norm in 2006. The only podium finish was a second place in the Diamond Cup. Despite only competing in eight races, she finished fifth in high points. The most remembered moment of the 2006 season came at the Leo Vandenberg Challenge on Lake Pleasant. After finishing heat 1A, a water fountain located off the course in the south turn "jumped out" in front of the Miss Cott (according to the driver). The resulting collision shortened the right sponson, and earned the boat a trip back to Jeff Campbell's shop.

Notes about the real boat: When Shirley Mendelson McDonald, owner of the Notre Dame, retired at the end of the 1973 season, Bernie Little purchased the entire Notre Dame inventory. He sold the boat to John L. (Jack) Higgins. Higgins campaigned the U-76 at all eleven races in 1974. The U-76 raced under several names in 1974. Early in the season it was the Miss Cott Bevrages. It was renamed the Miss Northwest Tank Service for the Gold Cup in Seattle. The last five races it ran as the Miss Technicolor. Tom Sheehy, Roger D'Eath and Ron Larsen were the drivers. Larsen achieved the best results of the three, finishing third at the Desert Thunderboat Regatta in Phoenix, Arizona on Lake Carl Pleasant.  After a promising debut year, Higgins called it a career and sold the boat to George Walther, Jr, of Dayton, Ohio, in 1975. Notes about 2007: Gary finished the 2007 season with 7,733 points, good for eighth in the Red Dot Championship Series.
