Notes about the model: Second in high points for 2005, Miss Thriftway moved up and became the High Points Champion in 2006, and, the National Champion. She won 6 races while being driven by Jesse Robertson, David Newton, and the Czar,Roger Newton. A new Miss Thriftway is scheduled to hit the water for 2007

Notes about the real boat: The third Miss Thriftway raced from 1959 until the Seafair race in 1963. She won two Gold Cups and set a World Straightaway record of 192 m.p.h. in Feb. 1960.She ran 55 consecutive heats without a mechanical breakdown , and became driver Bill Muncey's favorite boat. Now restored, the boat is in running condition ,owned by Barb Carper from Seattle.

Notes about 2006: Three different drivers combined for six wins and the High Point Championship. The white boat is more likely to be called for gun jumping than any other boat, perhaps because of the white paint??
