Notes about the model: Built as a replacement to their 1958 Maverick, this boat was never run in competition. It was repainted in the 1957 configuration and sold to Kirk Pagel in 2007.

Notes about the real boat: Owner Wm. T Waggoner acquired the U-11 Rebel Suh, built by Ted Jones, following it's 1955 inaugural, yet lackluster, season. With Bill Stead at the helm and a professional crew the U-12 Maverick set course and qualifying records around the entire circuit. It was joined by the U-29 Shanty I, as a two boat team for 1956 and 1957. 

Notes about 2007: After acquiring the Maverick, Kirk sent the hull over to Ron Daum for complete mechanical fitting and balancing. Launched on December 22, 2007, it will be ready to go for the 2008 race season.
